I have not read anything on how this movie did so far, but the way I see the lines in New York City for this movie I believe it will break Spiderman's opening week. I was in Union Sq. around 3:30pm on a 94 degree saturday afternoon and there were 2 lines of people waiting on line to go into a packed movie theater. I know that the Imax Theater is sold out for 2 weeks, and that when I saw the line to watch the 1:30am show in Regal Battery Park last night it was what set my mind. Its been a long time since I've seen so many people willing to go into a crowded theater on a hot day to watch a movie sitting next to a oversized person try to fight for the 2 inch of arm rest, and while the manager at the theater say the AC is on full and there are roughly about 400 people per theater, there is no way you can sit out the 2:30 hours of this movie.
